The Mishimoto racing thermostat for the Evo 7,8,9 will promote greater cooling efficiency throughout your engine, significantly lowering high engine temperature produced by modified and upgraded turbo applications.
Once the engine is fully warmed up the Mishimoto racing thermostat will open up at a lower temperature than standard thermostats, also allowing the coolant to flow through the engine sooner thus reducing and maintaining cooler engine temperatures.
Mishimoto Thermostat activates at 145° F
OEM Thermostat activates at 180° F
TAKE NOTE: We have on occasion, seen these go bad... We will still sell them, but they are warrantied ONLY through Mishimoto, so know this COULD happen with these thermostat's.
