After extensive testing and many hours of R&D, FIC is proudly launching the new line of BlueMAX high flow injectors.
Gone are the days when anyone looking for injectors larger than the FIC 1150cc/min had to deal with the 1600cc Bosch natural gas injectors (with some reputed idle and part throttle issues).
Not only are we filling the void that will be left by that Bosch injector, but FIC is offering their typical 100cc increment sizing from the current 1150cc all the way through 1650cc/min. (And soon to add 1750cc and 1850cc too!)
Mitsubishi style injectors fit both DSM and EVO applications.
Please note that BlueMAX injectors are tested to operate between 40psi to 55psi of base pressure with 30psi boost. They may very well run beyond that, but there are no tests of these injectors past this base pressure / boost combination.
While a 50psi base pressure and 30psi of boost will equate to 80psi of fuel pressure in the fuel rail assuming you run a 1:1 fuel pressure regulator, the injector only has to overcome the 50psi base pressure (plus maybe a little due to lag of the regulator) since there is 30psi of boost pressure in the manifold helping to push the ball and armature open.
What does this mean to you? If you are using normal base pressures (35-50psi) and normal boost (10-30psi) you are within our tested parameters of the BlueMAX injectors.
